Our first morning in Toronto started off with a job interview (wish me luck), followed by a day on Bloor St for a day of retail therapy. You just can’t leave Canada without a trip to LuLuLemon & Roots–or maybe it’s just us. (I mean COME ON, I bought a sweatshirt that folds into a pillow. Ingenious! -S)
Anyway, both of us couldn’t keep the smiles off our faces when we walked past the huge Hugo Boss store.
Every hockey players love.
My mind immediately flashed to Mike Green–which then made me giggle like a little girl…
1:20 marker for a look inside Mikey’s closet.
Love the BLaich commentary.
Anyway, back to Toronto. We came across this discovery.
We. Love. Canada.
Timbits (an assortment of everything they had under the counter–our taste buds were overwhelmed to say the least). Ketchup Chips — best thing ever invented. Fries & Gravy Chips — tastes just like Poutine!! SCORE!! And drumroll please…TEAM CANADA band-aids! (which I am wearing now because of a battle scar from Montreal’s airport–you can’t take me anywhere) How epic is that?! We don’t have Team USA band-aids… *sigh* only in Canada. (They proved handy when I fell in the middle of a cross walk that night in downtown Toronto and skinned my knee…Yes, my middle name is Grace -S)
Another bomb restaurant we headed to is called E11even (@e11evenToronto) –just like Gretzky’s & RealSports, you all should check it out. When you get your bill, they put it in an envelope that says “The Damage” — how clever is that??! (considering the fact that S & I can blow money in a restaurant super easy–scratch that–we can blow money anywhere we go)
For our night out we decided to head back to RealSports because the bartender says it is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night. What we failed to realize until AFTER was that we took advice from a female (problem #1) & TSwift was across the street (problem #2)–which means all sports-loving Canadian boys stayed as far away as they possibly could. This is just yet another reason we don’t like TSwift & next time we decided we’d ask the GUYS where to go…not a girl.
Our goal, so far of meeting cute Canadian boys (preferably hockey players), was shot down. We had a few lookers–but no one brave enough to say hi. We struck out–swinging…
So the song to end Friday night is a good one…
Tune in tomorrow for Part Trois.
